LEADERSHIP COACHING

Do you desire to be a better leader?

If so, you’ve come to the right place.

As an ICF-credentialed (PCC) leadership coach and seasoned strategy consultant, I work with leaders in a variety of sectors, from tech to non-profit to church planters, and across a wide range of experience.

Regardless of whether you’ve been leading for 20+ years or are still working towards your first leadership role, I can help you become a more effective, inspired, and inspiring leader.

YOUR LEADERSHIP JOURNEY

Where are YOU in your leadership journey?

NEW LEADERS

Most new leaders are promoted into their new role and then never taught how to be an effective leader.

Because most new leaders aren’t given a framework for success, most rely on the skillset that got them promoted or in their leadership role in the first place. e.g., hustling, producing, trying to prove their worth by adding ever increasing value.

Unfortunately, the skillset that got you to where you are is not the same skillset that will enable you to be successful moving forward. In fact, the old skillset actually becomes detrimental as a leader.

That doesn’t have to be YOUR story. I will help you become the best leader you can be.

We’ll journey together to move you from feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, anxious, and stuck towards becoming a leader whose team is happily and productively working together in service of your shared mission and vision.

Imagine starting work each day feeling confident, prepared, and knowing how to prioritize both your objectives AND the well-being of your team! That reality is fully within your reach.

SEASONED LEADERS

By now, you’ve likely made it to the level and/or role you’ve been aspiring towards for most of your career. Is it everything you imagined it would be?

A common theme amongst the seasoned leaders I work with is that once they reach the role they always thought they wanted, they find it isn’t as fulfilling or desirable as they thought it would be.

While there are certainly benefits (i.e., a bigger paycheck, broader influence), it can often feel lonely, overwhelming, and constantly stressful at the top. You may even find that it feels difficult to be the leader you both can and want to be due to the organizational context you find yourself in.

Engaging in coaching at this stage in your career is invaluable as you seek to:

Clarify your vision for your career, determine how aligned your current trajectory is with your vision, make strategic choices in service of alignment.

Re-commit to showing up as the leader you desire to be.

Regain work/life balance in a way that honors your own needs, in addition to the needs of those around you.

Consider the extent to which your habituated leadership style is still serving you, your team, your stakeholders, and your organization.

COACHING FRAMEWORKS

We use many different frameworks, tools, and resources during the coaching experience.

Two frameworks that have been particularly helpful for my clients are the Enneagram and Energy Leadership. Both significantly accelerate self-awareness and provide unique growth paths depending on your goals.

For leaders who desire to move beyond self-mastery into the mechanics of leadership, we learn a third framework, which combines the most important leadership best practices into a proven, 9-part leadership framework that will enable you to succinctly answer the following questions your team has of you (whether they overtly ask or simply wonder):

  • Who are you? (e.g., Your leadership philosophy and personal values)

  • What are we here for? (e.g., Your organization and team’s mission/purpose)

  • Where are we going? (e.g., Your organization and team’s vision)

  • How will we work together as we endeavor towards our mission/vision? (e.g., Your team’s working agreements/community values)

  • What path will we take to get there? (e.g., Your org and team’s strategy)

  • What am I responsible for? (e.g., Role clarity)

  • How will I know I am/we are successful? (e.g., metrics)

  • To what extent will you:

    • Know me as a person?

    • Equip me to fulfill my responsibilities?

    • Empower me to execute on my responsibilities in a way that makes sense to me and helps me grow?

    • Clearly communicate?

    • Create a culture of feedback?

    • Take risks yourself and allow me to take risks?

    • Celebrate my individual and our collective accomplishments?
